Clear Books have made a first for online accounting software by adding instant chat to their cloud based software.
It's currently in trial mode and you can add it to your Clear Books account by going to the Labs section (click on the drop down menu at the top right).
We haven't given it a go yet but our first instincts are mostly 'What's the point?'. There's no shortage of instant messaging services out there and we already struggle to remember to login in to the ones we do use. That being said I'm sure some companies will take to it and it may be very useful for contacting Clear Books support and getting instant answers. Basically, it's a new feature that can easily be ignored if you don't want it so who can complain.
